All our fine game guns have undergone an extensive programme of restoration. All barrels have been Re-London Nitro Proofed to 2 3/4" chambers. They naturally have a practical and sensible wall thickness, fine walnut stocks and forends, have a minimum LOP of 14 1/2" and have all undergone a refurbishment of their traditional oil finish and have been skillfully re-checkered. Gun specification measurements are approximate and are for guidance only.

Over the years I have rescued exceptional donor guns and with the help and skill of my team of the best traditional gunsmiths remade them to the very highest standard.I believe these guns are unique and the very best available.

138) DAW 16 Bore Hammer Gun

Superb example of Daw’s patent centre fire gun made in 1866 under lever snap action. Original crisp engraving throughout, 28 inch finest Damascus twist nitro-proofed barrels: 27 thou av. wall thickness, highly figured walnut stock LOP 14 ¾ inches, weight 6lbs 12oz. One of my favourite makers hammer guns, fabulous to shoot and in its original case, a very important historical gun.

Akrill of Beverley was considered one of the best provincial gun makers of his time. This is clearly reflected in the unique quality of this gun in a lovely, cared for condition. 28 inch nitro fire twist, Damascus barrels, choked ¼ and ½ . 26 inch average wall thickness. Top lever side lock action with game scene engraving, darkly figured walnut stock. LOP 14 ½ inches . The gun weighs 6lb 6oz. Only one in 10,000 guns was a small a bore.

A very late mid 1850s single barrel live pigeon gun in pristine condition throughout. W. Richards of Liverpool made outstanding guns and the quality of this muzzle loader is no exception: 32 inch Damascus steel barrel, crisp scroll, original engraving throughout, exhibition walnut stock as made. Lebeda Prag, circa 1865, for the Royal Collection of the King of Hanover - a Bohemian double barrelled pinfire, gold inlaid rifle: superb Damascus 28 inch barrel centre folding leaf sights 150 – 100 yds, outstanding fine engraving of dogs and game bids on one side action, stags on the other. Steel trigger, royal crest in gold on trigger guard, highly engraved hinged butt plate, horn side lever opening. Weighs 7lb 10oz. Outstanding throughout, full provenance.
